Making a work of art is hard. It is work! I have never understood what other artists mean when they say, “ I had fun while making this___________(fill in the blank).
The artwork may have had a “fun” idea behind it, but during the process of making it…I don’t think that “fun” is an accurate description. From idea, implementation of the idea, to completion, takes an incredible amount of time, concentration and physical labor. It is work.
Art is my profession. It is my passion. It is what I love. And, work is what I will do to keep it alive.
